Welcome to Rokeby

Welcome to Rokeby

Leadership at Rokeby

Sarah Morgan, Executive Headteacher

Welcome to Rokeby School, where academic excellence and personal growth go hand in hand. In the latest Ofsted inspection the school was judged to be Outstanding in Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development. This reflects the unwavering commitment of our staff and the energy and purpose of our students. Here, young men are expected to “dare to be the best” — to take pride in their learning, to lead by example, and to aim high in all that they do.

But success at Rokeby is about far more than exam results — although pupils do typically achieve well across national assessments. Pastoral care at Rokeby is a guiding force. Strong relationships between staff and pupils, consistent expectations, and a culture of care mean that each boy feels known, supported, and empowered. Beyond the classroom, enrichment, leadership opportunities and a comprehensive careers programme ensure our students leave us ready for both life and learning.

As part of the Newham Community Learning Trust, we are united in our purpose and proud of our partnership. I invite you to explore our website, learn more about our ethos, and see why so many boys flourish here.

At Rokeby, our vision is built upon five core values: Respect, Success, Passion for Learning, Personal Challenge, and Harmony. These values guide everything we do, ensuring that our students grow not only in their academic achievements but also as well-rounded individuals. We take great pride in our academic outcomes, with particular success in English and Mathematics. Our students’ progress in these subjects has consistently exceeded the national average for boys, reflected in our impressive Progress 8 score which has been above national average for the past three years.

Bhavesh Galoria, Head of School

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Rokeby School — a community built on our five core values; Respect, Success, Passion for Learning, Personal Challenge, and Harmony

Our most recent Ofsted report, which judged us Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes and for Personal Development, is something we are immensely proud of. What it really reflects is the heart of our school — a place where respect, kindness, and ambition go hand in hand.

Academic excellence matters deeply to us, and our outcomes speak for themselves. Year after year, our students achieve results in English and Mathematics that exceed national averages for boys, with our Progress 8 score consistently above the national figure. Yet, numbers only tell part of the story. Behind every success is a young person who has been supported, encouraged, and believed in by teachers who know them well.

Our pastoral care is something we hold dear. We want every boy at Rokeby to feel valued, and understood. This strong foundation of care enables them to thrive — whether that is in the classroom, on the sports field, through leadership opportunities, or within our vibrant enrichment programme. We take pride in preparing our students not only for exams, but for life beyond school — equipping them with the confidence, curiosity, and resilience they need to succeed.

As proud members of the Newham Community Learning Trust, we share a common purpose: to provide exceptional education within a community that celebrates diversity and promotes equality of opportunity.

I hope that as you explore our school — whether in person or online — you will see a place alive with energy, warmth, and ambition. Rokeby is a school where boys grow into young men who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.
