Healthy School Meals

Healthy School Meals

Our School Catering Offer

Our current school catering partner is Innovate IFG.  We offer a free breakfast and lunchtime meal for students.

Breakfast Club

Our free Breakfast Club operates from 7:30 AM to 8:20 AM.

Staff members will be available to assist with homework and reading. The menu features a variety of healthy breakfast options, including toast/bagels, fruit, juices, yoghurts, and cereals.

All students are welcome to have a free breakfast. Please ensure that students:

  • Display good behaviour at all times.
  • Do not bring their own food or drink, as all food must conform to Healthy School standards.
  • Eat all food in the dining hall and not take it outside.

Lunch

As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of serving nutritious food to our children. Our caterer’s lunch menu is available here

  • Simple: Meals are kept as simple as possible, using ingredients similar to what you’d use at home.
  • Fresh: Lunches are handmade each morning.
  • Nutritious: Recipes are carefully selected to provide the necessary nutrition for growing bodies
  • Quality: We use the highest quality ingredients, including fresh fruit and vegetables and grade A meat.

Free School Meals

Boys may be eligible for Free School Meals if their parents receive any of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income based job seekers’ allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (if not also receiving Working Tax Credit and with an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after ceasing eligibility for Working Tax Credit)
  • Universal Credit (if applying on or after April 1, 2018, household income must be less than £7,400 per year, after tax and excluding any benefits)

Children who receive these benefits directly, rather than through a parent or guardian, are also eligible.

To apply for Free School Meals, please use Newham Council’s online application here

Applications may take up to a week to process. You will receive a confirmation letter/email from Newham Council. Please provide a copy of this confirmation to our front office so we can update our records.

Until you receive confirmation of Free School Meal eligibility, we kindly request that parents cover the cost of their child’s school meal.

Apply Online for Free School Meals

You will need your National Insurance number to complete the application. For more information and to apply online, click here
